- 05/13/2017 A total of 6 people suspected to be infected with anthrax were admitted to Thika Level 5 Hospital on [Thu 11 May 2017]. All slaughterhouses in Thika were consequently closed indefinitely as the Government sought to contain the spread of the disease.
